Community Advocate in East Chattanooga & Coordinator of the East Chattanooga Block Leaders

From "Community Call-to-Action"

Go to the project

As a Community Advocate, I attend meetings, provide input, and keep residents informed! Although the Block Leaders have not been as active as I would like them to be since COVID, the City's Community Development Dept... delayed my attempt in 2024 to revitalize this group by not providing me the assistance I needed to restore the East Chattanooga Block Leaders.

As a resident in East Chattanooga, I find there's a need for Leadership Training, which may be getting started by the City. Hopefully, that is the case. East Chattanooga has been neglected by this Administration over the past 4 years as it relates to housing, transportation, health care, Glenwood Community Center to its residents as a result of the Eastgate Senior Center moving into the Center. Our youth and especially our young adults need access to this Center daily.
